To all Enfield voters:

Bob Hendrickson web page image

I’m Bob Hendrickson and I am running to be your next State Representative for the Connecticut General Assembly’s 58th House District. The 58th district is located entirely within the town of Enfield and gives me the unique ability to continue to put Enfield first as I do every day by serving as Enfield’s 4th District Town Councilor.

Many of you may know me from ShopRite on Hazard Avenue, where I worked for almost 40 years. As a former retail manager in Enfield, I understand how the declining economy and increased expenses have affected our daily lives. Enfield is an important border town on the I-91 corridor and a retail destination for many. I would like to see the leaders in Hartford recognize this, while still protecting our right to control local zoning and our vision of Enfield.

With inflation consuming more of everyone’s wages every day; the time is right to have strong Republican representation in Hartford. Years of failed policies have proven that the Democrats do not want to address any of the major issues facing Connecticut. My goal, with your help, is to work to change direction in Hartford by recognizing that there are many problems facing the people of Connecticut and working to correct them while ensuring that state agendas and mandates, both funded and unfunded, do not infringe on the ability of the people and towns to govern themselves.

I will represent you to the best of my ability by fighting to:

  • Ensure that our Veterans and Seniors receive the benefits and resources they worked for, and that they know how to access them.
  • Make sure that zoning laws remain local. This is critical for towns to be accountable to their tax base and for them to plan development.
  • Prevent state mandates for electric vehicles.
  • Prevent mandates and executive orders regarding citizens’ health.
  • Protect your Second Amendment as well as all rights guaranteed in our State and Federal Constitutions.
  • Most importantly, I want to ensure that a parent’s right to parent is protected and that our students have the ability to choose a school that is best suited to help them succeed in the future.

I want to represent the 58th District in Hartford to make the major changes the state needs while making sure I put the people of Enfield First.

I am always interested in listening and talking about the issues that concern you. If you have any concerns or any issues that are important to you, please reach out to me using my contact information below:

Underfunded Mandates: Costs municipalities, and residents are left paying the bill.
